With 30 years of professional experience, working in government, at university and as a consultant, George has knowledge on managing water resources and WASH. His interest lies in learning processes: how does change develop? He is good in helping others to develop their strategy (including facilitating the multi-stakeholder processes that often coincide), and has proven himself in bringing together actors around a problem.
He has over time worked in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Europe. His last long posting was in West Africa (2012-2015), managing a bilateral water programme (both urban and rural WASH and Water Resources). His most recent policy process that he was leading was for the Netherlands Government (developing the WASH Strategy 2016-2030). George is fluent in English, French, Dutch and Swedish. German is good.
