Fort Portal, Kabarole, UGANDA. 11 November 2020 - IRC Uganda today launches a new project with Kabarole District Local Government to mitigate the effects of COVID-19 through strengthening water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in healthcare facilities.
The theme of the conference is: Prioritising and refocusing sustainable WASH services delivery – lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic. IRC Ghana and partners will host a side-event on 3 November on leaving no one behind.
This event will be a call for action for all Public Development Banks to work together towards a Water Finance Coalition in order to develop financing for water and sanitation and to foster cooperation among them.
Sharing experiences of a joint initiative supporting CSOs in India to improve their technical capacities and enhancing their involvement in tracking decentralised WASH budgets as well as improving their utilisation.
