If you were a woman

Video about the making of a video in a village in Tamil Nadu, India, with the villagers as actors. From interviews with women and men in the village it becomes clear that although women work together with the men to earn an income for their families, the men are not willing to help with any household chores. To change this behaviour it is decided to make a video with the villagers. This video tells the story of the village men dreaming they had become women doing all the household tasks and working in the fields. Their wives had become men and were bullying them around in the same way as they themselves used to do. When they wake up still shocked by their nightly experiences they change their behaviour towards their wives. The village men were asked after participating in the video and having viewed the results to say if they think they will also change their behaviour in real life.
