 IRC is a modern NGO focused on working with a worldwide network of partner organisations as an innovative knowledge centre. IRC’s roots are in advocacy, lesson learning, knowledge management and capacity building. Since its inception in 1968, IRC has built up a strong reputation for cutting-edge innovation and action research aimed at providing equitable and sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services at scale. IRC is leading two major initiatives to improve sustainability in WASH services: Triple-S and WASHCost.

Eau Vive

Eau Vive is French NGO that works alongside rural communities in Africa (Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and Senegal) to improve access to water. Eau Vive lobbies for water to be recognised as a human right. 


Community Water and Sanitation Agency

The Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA), facilitates provision of sustainable potable water and related sanitation services as well as hygiene promotion to rural communities and small towns through resource mobilization, capacity building and standards setting with the active participation of major stakeholders.

WaterAid Ghana

Centre for Economic and Social Studies

The Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) was established as an autonomous research Centre in 1980. CESS conducts interdisciplinary research in social sciences—particularly development in Andhra Pradesh and other areas of India.

Watershed Support Services and Activities Network

Watershed Support Services and Activities Network (WASSAN) is an Indian-based organisation. They work to bring qualitative change in watershed based development by providing capacity building and support services in natural resources management, promotion of livelihoods of poor, and economic and gender equity.

Direcção Nacional de Águas: Departamento de Agua Rural

Direcção Nacional de Águas–The National Directorate of Water– focuses on policy making and planning for water resources management, and provision of water and sanitation services in Mozambique. WASHCost Mozambique is working with the Department of Rural Water (Departamento de Agua Rural).
