Meet the team in Ghana
IRC Ghana in collaboration with the Community Water and Sanitation Agency and Conrad Hilton Foundation grantees (World Vision, Safe Water Network, WaterAid, Desert Research Institute) supported 13 districts in Ghana to develop long term District WASH plans. IRC Ghana provides capacity, guidelines and resources for WASH planning at the district level in support of the national and local government efforts.
Vida Duti: In her role as country director Ghana, Vida promotes district WASH master planning at national level fora as the road to scale in achieving the national set goals for water and sanitation. In this she is supported by her team of experts, who have on the ground expertise in master planning 14 (?) districts in Ghana. She works closely together with the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) to bring district WAHs master planning to scale.
Jeremiah Atengdem is the technical advisor to Ghana's District WASH master planning facility, hosted by IRC Ghana. His experience with master planning, is rooted in the backbone support he provided on behalf of IRC Ghana to Asutifi North district government, in the development of its district WASH master plan that was launched in 2018, and in the continued support he provides towards the implementation of the plan. Jeremiah is an expert in undertaking expenditure tracking and funding gap analyses and as an experienced water expert, he is able to link and root local plans, to and into national level policies and planning.
