Abstract | As Watershed closed its fourth year of implementation, it has seen an impressive number of results. All the Work Packages saw at least one concrete change in the practices of their governments in the form of laws, policies and/or norms being implemented towards achieving sustainable WASH for all (Dialogue and Dissent indicator 1 (DD1)). Watershed has also seen a rise in countries adopting public policies or norms which will contribute to sustainable WASH (DD2). This rise may be the result of the many instances that civil society organisations (CSOs) have succeeded in creating space to voice their demands (DD3). During 2019, 120 documented advocacy initiatives were completed by CSOs under the Watershed programme (DD4) and 11 CSOs demonstrated increased ability in Lobby & Advocacy during the reporting period (DD5). |
