| Abstract | Directions for WSP-Africa support are identified, covering ten countries with extensive WSP-AF operations: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Key areas of focus are: coverage of the water supply and sanitation sector in poverty diagnostic, strategies in Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSP), financing issues, monitoring and evaluation, and the proces of PRSP development and implementation. Findings show mixed results. While water supply is incorporated in most PRSP related documents, its treatment is not comprehensive and is often inconsistent. |
