Abstract

This video shows how development projects are working towards resolving Viet Nam's water paradox. On the one hand, in rural areas, excess water caused by floods, leads to dams and dikes being constructed or repaired to improve drainage. While, on the other hand, in the cities, chronic water shortages are endured, because of the antiquated and dilapidated piped distribution systems which need to be rehabilitated to meet growing demand.
