| Abstract | Event report on the fifth Uganda Water and Environment Week 2022 (UWEWK2022) which was held as a hybrid (physical and online) from 20th -25th March 2022 at the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) headquarters in Luzira. The UWEWK2022 was held under the overall theme, "Water and environment for peace and socio-economic transformation of Uganda" and four sub -themes namely: i) Promoting peace and stability through water and environment resources; ii) Building resilience to various risks and shocks; iii) Financing water, environment and climate change; iv) Partnerships and inter-sectoral collaboration in water and environment management and development. This is in line with Uganda's National Development Strategy and the National Development Plan III (NDP III), achievement of middle-income status and Sustainable Development Goals. |
