This "Trigger 2012" reflects both the successes and challenges of the 8 countries as the Pan-Africa CLTS Programme moves into its 4th and final year. The project has become an inspiration for other national, regional and continental multi-country sanitation initiatives. Plan Malawi has become the 1st Country Programme in the region to be selected as Executive Agency (EA) of the Global Sanitation Fund (GSF), which is a nation-wide CLTS/Sanitation Marketing project. Plan Tanzania has learnt from Plan Malawi experience and secured the EA position in the GSF Project. The CLTS scalability multi-country research project, funded by USNO and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has used the experiences from the Pan-Africa CLTS Programme.
