Abstract

This video briefly presents the laboratory and field tests of the Solar Water Disinfection (SODIS) project, and includes the application of the new process in a demonstration project. Glimpses of the SODIS application in Asia, Africa and Latin America are provided at the end of the video. SODIS is about eliminating pathogens that cause diarrhoeal diseases. It is a simple process for treating small quantities of water at house-hold level.
