Abstract

Report presenting the outcomes of two workshops held on improving sanitation services in small towns in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. The workshops were based on a tool with a ten-step methodology for designing a sustainable sanitation plan for small towns, developed by EHP and field tested in three countries. The report captures the insights gained in the course of conducting the two workshops and discussses key issues that need to be addressed to make progress in this area. The workshops was attended by participants from 12 countries, representing national and local governmental and non-governmental institutions, and the donor community.
