Abstract

The Max Foundation has developed the Healthy Village concept to reduce child mortality through safe water supply and sanitation, safe motherhood and nutrition, and by using sustainable market models.To create maximum impact, Max already plans it's exit strategy at the beginning of interventions so that once sustainability has been achieved, ownership can be transferred to the local community and local governemnt.
