Abstract

This report assesses the current (through to the end of 1990) availability of water supply and sanitation services in Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru, measures the progress towards increased coverage, and analyzes investment commitments to estimate the additional funding needed to meet the proposed targets. The status of water and sanitation coverage in each country is examined in detail in the country profiles appendices at the end of the report. Each country profile describes current and proposed externally funded projects, current coverage levels, the 1995 targets for each subsector, and the investment required to attain theses goals. The appendices also give health, economic, and social indicators and a brief overview of socioeconomic and health conditions.
