Abstract

The Outreach learning-by-doing leaflets are designed for middle and high school science teachers in low-income countries. This issue contains 14 self-contained leaflets with exercises and experiments on pressure and water supply technologies. The first section (2 leaflets) describes the principles of water and air pressure. The second section deals with water collection (rainwater, small dams and wells), water-lifting devices, and simple water treatment technologies. For each leaflet there is an accompanying teacher's note providing tips and background information.
