Abstract | Building rainwater tanks is a simple and economic technology for the household level. Women's groups in the arid Laikipia district of Kenya have adopted this technology to harvest rainwater. This has resulted in a considerable improvement in their living conditions over a period of 10 years. A Kenyan film team documented this success story on the occasion of the visit of a delegation of Ugandan women who came to learn the skills of rainwater harvesting from the Kenyans. |
