Abstract

This source book provides an overview of what governments, development agencies and NGOs are undertaking to mainstream, institutionalize and incorporate women's issues and gender perspectives in planning, policies, programmes, projects and organizations. The book has two main parts. The first part consists of case studies from Kenya, Nepal, Mali and Nicaragua, and a chapter on international perspectives. The second part is an annotated bibliography of 190 references to books, articles and papers, followed by a web resources section.
