Abstract

Access to infrastructure is increasing in many Indian cities. This is evident through increased access to water and sanitation services in the country; 90 percent of the urban population has
improved access to drinking water sources, while 52 percent has improved access to sanitation services. Despite this change in the last decade, water and sanitation services generally are not reliable, sustainable or affordable. [authors abstract]
