James is an experienced international development consultant, team leader, fund portfolio manager and country director with expertise in water supply, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), climate resilience and environment.
James is experienced in developing strategies, establishing new programs, building teams, government relations, partnership, business development, grant management and evaluation in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. He has served in roles as a senior manager with UN organisations and INGOs including roles at country, regional and global levels. He is skilled in monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, documentation and learning and capacity strengthening.
James cultivates a strong network in the global development sector and employs a collaborative leadership style to deliver impact. He has a deep interest in adaptive management and innovation in the fields of climate resilience, water security, gender, sanitation and hygiene and interlinkages with other areas of human development and environmental sustainability.
In 2023/24 James worked with IRC in Cambodia to develop a national sanitation financing strategy.
