Ida is a WASH specialist with vast experience conducting water access studies across Kenya and Somalia. These have ranged from conducting assessments at the utility level to travelling to the more remote parts of Kenya including Wajir, Turkana, Marsabit and Isiolo. Ida believes that every human (and Kenyan while at it) should have access to water within their household that is safe and affordable, a belief that drives her career.
Ida is currently pursuing a doctorate degree on governance in rural water services at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Her internship at IRC focusses on assessing the strength of National WASH Systems
