Vera is a Master of Arts: Journalism and post graduate in Electronic Information Management (Moscow State University and The Robert Gordon University). In the past 15 years, she has gained experiences in working with both traditional and new media, strategic communications, publications, knowledge and information management, communication technologies and children's issues. Prior to joining IRC, she worked for the Bernard van Leer Foundation in Den Haag (the Netherlands) that works to improve opportunities for children up to age 8 who are growing up in socially and economically difficult circumstances; Save the children – Redd Barna(Uganda) and Commercial Television (STV-Uganda).
Vera was appointed organisational trust person in 2016.

This video is addressing the faecal sludge management issue in Bamako district by giving the floor to all key actors to highlight their challenges and proposed solutions.
It calls for the Government to secure space in the city in order to build a faecal sludge treatment plant for better management
This video is meant for decision-makers, and as a citizen's information-sharing effort.
The video was produced with the purpose to call upon the government of Mali to take action in securing space to build a faecal sludge treatment plant in the district of Bamako. Because until today, faecal sludge is being discharged straight into the nature without any treatment, the wastewater finds its way to the Niger river basin
The Change we want to see is a better management system of the faecal sludge in Bamako district by building a treatment plant.

The standard approach of financing is not sufficient and not appropriate for long term financing needs of water companies. Water Financing Facilities are a potential mechanism to mobilise additional finance for the sector. They pull utilities and their projects together reducing risk and therefore creating the possibility for longer term loans at considerably lower interest rates.
