Maria Clara is a journalist and professional in literary studies from Colombia, passionate about travelling and about the environment. She works as a freelancer for international media, mainly writing about environmental issues. She is the director of the initiative Yuca Pelá, a project created when she was a lecturer of journalism at the Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar, in Colombia, to explore different angles and formats for stories and promote high-quality environmental journalism among young audiences. Maria Clara now lives in The Hague.
