She Makes Change

Women have a right to make their voices heard. To celebrate International Women's Day, IRC has been raising funds for workshops which enable that.

Because achieving clean water and sanitation for all by 2030 will not be possible without the full and meaningful participation of women in political and social decision making.

On International Women's Day, 8 March 2020, IRC has been running the City Pier City Loop Den Haag with the goal of raising €2,500 to facilitate women's capacity building workshops in our partner district of Odisha, India. The target was smashed. We raised a total €2,845! This will facilitate three women's capacity building workshops in Odisha, India.

We want to THANK YOU to all who supported #SheMakesChange. Even small donations have a big impact. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! With special thanks to our sponsor, Ask Roger BV!

Stay tuned for a project update once the workshops have been carried out to see how your support has made a difference.

The Odisha project, under Watershed, focuses on strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations to represent marginalised groups, particularly women, and advocate for sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene services for all. The project facilitates training and workshops to empower women with the right knowledge and skills to stand up, speak out and make decisions for themselves, by themselves.
