This study is part of a longer-term investigation process by IRC and the resource centre network to identify possible ways towards continuous sector learning. The report presents findings on current knowledge sharing practices and it identifies initiatives that could help improve WASH sector learning in Burkina Faso.

IRC and the National network of resource centres from Burkina Faso (RCR-BF is its French acronym) have jointly carried out an investigation around current information and knowledge practices in the WASH sector in Burkina Faso (‘Vers la gestion des connaissances et l’apprentissage sectoriel au Burkina Faso : comprendre les pratiques actuelles relatives à l’information et aux connaissances dans le secteur de l’eau et l’assainissement‘).

This study follows an investigation led by the RCR-BF in 2009 about information needs and it is part of a longer-term investigation process that IRC and the resource centre network are undertaking to identify possible ways towards continuous sector learning. The new study report gathers a wide set of conclusions about current practices and it further identifies some initiatives that could help improve WASH sector learning in Burkina Faso.
