WASH systems academy

Due to the growing number of courses and users, the WASH Systems Academy is starting self-registration and enrolment for its free courses. From 14 September 2020, it is possible to create your own account, select the course you want to follow and start immediately.

The WASH Systems Academy currently provides 3 self-paced and self-guided courses:

  • WASH system strengthening: the basics
  • The building blocks of sustainable WASH systems
  • Advocating for universal WASH services

Find out more on these courses on the WASH Systems Academy landing page. By the end of 2021, we hope to offer three more free courses on: financing resilient WASH systems, driving WASH systems change and fundraising for WASH.

How does it work?

If you are a new user:

• Create your account on www.washsystemsacademy.org by clicking on 'new account' (see image below).
• After registering, a link to activate your account will be sent to the e-mail address you have indicated. In case you do not receive and email in your inbox, check your spam folder, as it might have landed there instead.
• Please use this link to login to the platform.
• Select the course you would like to enrol in.

If you are an an existing user:

• Go to on www.washsystemsacademy.org
• Login with your existing username and password
• Enrol yourself in the course you want to follow by clicking on the course

Important to know:

  • Access to the online courses is provided for free for 6 months (i.e. 180 days).
  • A notification by e-mail is send 10 days before an account expires.
  • Accounts are suspended when you do not log in for 90 days
