IRC is an active member of the Sanitation and Water for All Partnership. Recognising that countries and organisations around the world can achieve more by working together, the partnership provides a framework for co-ordinated and joint efforts to address the main bottlenecks for improved sector performance and to overcome fragmentation in the WASH sector.

Working together, governments and development partners can better harmonise their efforts to accelerate progress in WASH.

From 2011 to 2013, IRC was an elected member in the Sanitation and Water for All steering committee. Currently, IRC is a member of the 'Research and Learning' constituency of the Sanitation and Water for All Partnership. In the 'Research and Learning' constituency, IRC is advocating for strengthening the sector knowledge base and for enhancing in-country capacities for reflective learning.

In Ghana, Burkina Faso, Uganda and Mozambique, IRC provides continued support to country delegations to prepare for High Level Meetings organized by the Partnership and with implementation of the national commitments made by those countries towards sanitation and water for all. IRC is also engaged in promotion of the Partnership in Latin America countries.
