The European Union (EU) has called for gender equality in water supply and sanitation sector in Nigeria.
Head of Rural and Social Development Reform Programme, European Union, Daniel Plas, made the call at a workshop on mainstreaming gender issues in the water supply and sanitation sector, Thursday, 7 February, in Abuja.
The EU-funded Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Reform Programme (EU-WSSSRP) supported the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources to develop the Gender Strategy and Action Plan.
