“Because Improve International is not an implementer of WASH projects, we don’t necessary “use” LCCA directly. We focus on curating good ideas and useful evidence to help the sector improve its work towards facilitating sustainable WASH services for generations. So in this way, we certainly promote the LCCA concepts and evidence – and the idea more broadly that funding “access” alone is not working – to the implementers and donors in the WASH sector. As I consult to smaller WASH organizations, I recommend that they look at the WASHCost & Triple-S materials, and so it’s helpful to know there is a training module”.
