Some water points in Asutifi North are being automated so that people coming to collect water can pay using a card. Customers pay the vendor and the vendor hands the customer a card. They place the card in the automated dispenser, known as an ATM, and position their bucket underneath. The right amount of water comes out at the press of a button.
