IRC Associate
From senior programme officer and MT member of IRC Christine Sijbesma has now become an associate. She holds an MA degree from Utrecht University, and a PhD and post grad in health/hygiene promotion from Wageningen University. Her thesis was on a new monitoring and evaluation methodology, developed with IRC and the Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) of the World Bank, which uses participatory methods to quantify qualitative data. Christine is a specialist in community-managed water supply and sanitation services and the promotion of hygiene behaviour. She has worked in projects in all continents but the Pacific.
