Ghana Youth Environment Network (GYEM), in collaboration with WaterAid Ghana and the Resource Centre Network (RCN) invites you to the learning and sharing meeting on the above theme.

GYEM will lead the discussion with support from WaterAid Ghana under the advocacy for WASH Based Climate Adaptation Strategies in Ghana. The main objective is to i) Highlight the importance of WASH as a key climate adaptation strategy; ii) Discuss key WASH based adaptation strategies and how they can be mainstreamed in national adaptation programmes of action; iii) Engage implementing institutions and MMDAs to share knowledge on effective decentralization of WASH based climate adaptation strategies.

The specific advocacy objective is to bring together stakeholders from the WASH and climate change sectors to deliberate on implementing WASH based climate adaptation strategies in national policies and developmental agenda. It will also give implementing institutions the platform to address key issues in the National Climate Change Policy (NCCP) and the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy (NCCAS) document.
